silhouette
![Picture](/uploads/9/7/9/1/97918718/two-surfers_orig.jpg)
In this image I see two boys on a wave. One seems to be falling meanwhile the other just watches. This photo relates to my song/theme for it creates a fun emotion and adds to the feeling of the theme song, making it interesting. A formal element used would have to be, silhouette, for the boys are all black as the sun shines directly on them, creating a dramatic effect.
expansive depth of field
In this photo I see a boy preparing to surf a wave and watching before he goes in. the photo relates to the theme/song due to the aspect that it is a surfer before on the wave. as well the song quotes "i can see the sand" and while Dom is looking at the sand, it represents that lyric in the song. A formal element is seen to be, expansive depth of field, for we can easily see the foot prints in the background.

stop action
![Picture](/uploads/9/7/9/1/97918718/dsc-0827_1_orig.jpg)
In this photo I see a man surfing doing what is called an "air." This image relates to the theme/song for it as well relates to the dun and exciting aspect. It portrays the hard-work of surfing and as the song lyrics are, "wave-after-wave," I feel it perfectly represents surfing. A formal element is, stop action, he is in the air posing a motion as I captured the photo.
horizontal lines
In this photo I see, a boat clear in the ocean. I see one surfer sitting looking in the direction of the boat, admiring the sunset. This photo relates to the theme/song as it represents the oceanic feel and the beauty of sea. A formal element would have to be, horizontal lines. the sea behind the boat is in a direct straight line along the horizon.

point of view from above
This is a photo of Dom fin, surfing. I see a large wave in the backdrop creating a dramatic effect. This photo adds to the theme/song for it again conveys surfing and the surfer on the wave. A formal element used would have to be, point of view/view from above. By shooting the image from above it creates the allusion that the wave is much bigger than it really is.

stop action and asymmetrical balance
In this photo I see two boys riding the same wave. I see both of them positioning, prepping to ride the wave. This photo relates to the theme/song for it portrays the stances before riding the wave and the fun aspect of doing it with your friends. A formal element is seen to be, stop action for I captured them in the moment, and perhaps asymmetrical balance due to one boy being positioned directly diagonal from the other.

rule of thirds
![Picture](/uploads/9/7/9/1/97918718/dsc-0918-3_1_orig.jpg)
In this photo I see, a man low to his board slowly gliding on the wave in a relaxed stance. This photo relates to the theme/song due to him "pulling against the wave and slowly drifting," quoting the lyrics to the song chosen. A formal element may be, rule of thirds for he is directly in the middle of the photograph.
expansive depth of field
In this photo I see a beautiful sunset along with the faint surfers still in the water waiting for one last wave of the night. This image relates to the theme/song for it conveys the beauty aspect and the patience for the wave as after the sun sets on the horizon, the surfers are dedicated to waiting for the last wave. A formal element would be, expansive depth of field due to everything in the image being in focus, allowing us to view the whole image clearly.

curved lines
![Picture](/uploads/9/7/9/1/97918718/dsc-0627_1_orig.jpg)
In this image I see a wave crashing, spraying water above it as the sun hits directly on the wave, lighting the scene perfectly. It relates to the theme/song for it portrays the wave itself without the surfer riding it and the exciting feeling of the ocean. A formal element wold have to be curved lines for the wave crashes at different moments creating the perfect curve to the wave.
stop action
In this photo I see an incredible wave as the surfer sprays the water and the sun meets it directly m=behind him. The photo relates to the song/theme for it is again, surfing and it conveys the hard-work on the wave and the dun of it when doing what you love. A formal element would have to again be, stop action due to capturing him directly after his snap on the wave.
