vocabulary:
Exploring depth of field:
- Why is depth of field the opposite of blurry background? Depth of field defines how much of your image is sharp, not how much is blurry.
- What are the three elements that affect Depth of Field? Aperture, lens focal length, and distance.
- When looking at the images of the guitars, what do you observe and why is it happening? They are showing more of the focal length and showing the difference of the lenses. Showing us, shallow depth of field.
- When creating a portrait, in what way can shallow depth of field hinder the photo? It can create a sharper image making the background out of focus/more blurry. As well it may be a difference of aperture and focal length.
- Explain how foreground objects can be removed by shallow depth of field? They can often become blurry and out of focus.
